Built for this. Not for that.

Good fit

  • You have one clear user journey and can describe it in a sentence
  • You need something live to show investors, customers, or your own team
  • You've been quoted £10k–£50k elsewhere and need a faster path to validation
  • You want to test an idea before committing to a larger build
  • You need a custom internal tool, admin panel, or workflow — not a template
  • You want a developer who'll still be there when you need the next feature

Not a fit

  • You need a native iOS or Android app
  • You need multiple user roles with complex permissions from day one
  • You're still figuring out what you want to build
  • You need deep integrations with paid or restricted third-party APIs
  • You want a full e-commerce platform with inventory, logistics and payments
  • Your idea requires hardware, IoT, or anything not browser-based

Not sure if it fits? Drop us a line — we'll tell you honestly within one working day.

02

Four steps from brief to live.

01 /

Brief us.

Fill in a short form: describe the problem, the user, and the one thing your product needs to do. No deck, no spec — a sentence or two is enough to start.

02 /

Scope call + written agreement.

We have a 30–60 minute call to understand the real problem and agree exactly what will be built. We write it up and both sides confirm before any work starts. The scope document is the contract — it's how the price stays fixed.

03 /

Build.

Typically 10 working days from scope sign-off. You get progress check-ins — not radio silence. The code is production-grade from day one, not a throwaway prototype.

04 /

Deploy & hand over.

Your product goes live on our EU/UK infrastructure. The 30-day post-launch support window starts: questions answered, small bugs fixed, honest advice on what to build next — included in the flat fee.

03

Everything you need to go live.

The sprint is deliberately scoped to get you live fast — not to be the final product. Here's exactly what's in and what's out.

Included

  • Scoping call + written scope document
  • Working web application — the agreed single user journey
  • Custom domain setup & SSL
  • Deployment to production on EU/UK infrastructure
  • 30-day post-launch support window
  • Honest advice on what to build next

Not included

  • Native iOS or Android apps
  • Additional user flows beyond the agreed scope
  • Paid third-party API costs
  • Ongoing feature development after the 30-day window
  • Source code transfer (available separately — see pricing)
04

Simple pricing. No surprises.

Maploft Ltd is not currently VAT registered. The price you see is the price you pay.

The build

£ 1,500

one-time · exc. VAT

  • Scoping call + written scope document
  • Working web application, built to brief
  • Deployed to production on our infrastructure
  • 30-day post-launch support window
  • Honest advice on next steps

Scope is agreed in writing before work starts. If scope changes, we talk before it becomes work — the price doesn't move quietly.

Managed hosting

£ 199

per month · optional · cancel anytime

  • Hosted on EU/UK cloud infrastructure
  • Daily backups
  • Uptime monitoring
  • Security patches applied
  • SSL & domain management
  • A real developer to email when something breaks

No-code platforms are cheaper for generic sites. This is for custom-built software that needs a developer — not a helpdesk — when something needs attention.

Source code transfer

£ 1,800

one-time · optional

  • Full codebase delivered — every file, every commit
  • Deploy anywhere, with any developer
  • Hand-off session so your next developer isn't starting blind
  • No further obligation to Maploft

The exit ramp that proves there's no trap. You're not locked in — this just makes leaving clean.

Modern tools. Boring in the best way.

Stack chosen for reliability and longevity — not novelty. You won't inherit something nobody else can maintain.

Framework Next.js or equivalent modern web framework — large talent pool, well-understood, maintainable by any competent web developer
Database Postgres-compatible — the industry default; chosen for the project where needed
Infrastructure EU/UK cloud — data stays onshore by default; fully monitored
Delivery type Web-based only — browser applications, not native iOS or Android
Stack agreed During scoping — if your project has specific requirements, we'll discuss the right choice before work starts
06

Questions people usually ask.

What exactly counts as "one user journey"?

The path one type of user takes to accomplish the core thing your product exists to do. Example: a client submits a service request and you receive, review and respond to it — that's one flow. If you're unsure whether yours qualifies, describe it to us and we'll tell you.

What if I need changes during the build?

Small adjustments within the agreed scope are normal and included. If something changes the scope materially, it's a conversation before it becomes work — never a surprise invoice at the end.

Can I add features after launch?

Yes — as a separate engagement at agreed day-rates. The MVP sprint is scoped to get you live fast. Once it's working, we can plan what comes next with no feature walls and no lock-in.

Do I own the code?

Under the standard arrangement, Maploft retains the codebase and you have a licence to use the running product. The Source Code Transfer (£1,800) gives you full ownership of every file — you can take it to any developer or host it yourself.

Is there a contract?

Yes — the written scope document is the agreement. Work starts only once both sides have confirmed it in writing. Our general terms of service apply alongside the scope document.

What does the £199/month hosting actually cover?

A real server, daily backups, uptime monitoring, security patches, SSL management, and a developer who knows your codebase to email when something looks wrong. Not a shared hosting plan, not a helpdesk ticket — a direct line to the person who built it.

Can I cancel hosting?

Yes, anytime with 30 days' notice. If you leave, we help you migrate — either to your own infrastructure or to a new provider. If you've purchased the Source Code Transfer, you already have everything you need.

Is the price inclusive of VAT?

Maploft Ltd is not currently VAT registered. There is no VAT to add — the price shown is the price you pay.

Ready to scope it out?

Fill in a short form about what you're building. We'll come back within one working day — and tell you honestly if the sprint is the right fit.

No commitment. No sales call if you don't want one.
